Meet Debbie
Howdy!
It’s more than a greeting—it’s a wholehearted welcome. A reflection of my roots at Texas A&M, where connection, community, and showing up fully for others aren’t just values… they’re a way of life.
I help individuals and organizations ignite leadership from within.
With nearly 30 years of experience as a counselor, educator, facilitator, and leadership developer, I bring depth, insight, and real-world perspective to the work of developing people. My approach goes beyond surface-level strategies—guiding individuals and teams to build self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Clients don’t come to me for more information.
They come for transformation that leads to meaningful action and lasting impact.

Experience & Impact
My work has been shaped by years of facilitating leadership development across diverse audiences—from corporate teams to community leaders to emerging youth.
As a Certified Dare to Lead™ and Daring Way™ Facilitator, I trained and guided individuals in the research of Brené Brown, helping people step into courageous leadership, have tough conversations, and lead with authenticity.
I’ve also spent a decade as an adjunct leadership trainer with the Center for Creative Leadership, working with multi-generational audiences to build alignment, communication, and culture.
Whether on stage, in a workshop, or in a retreat setting, I create experiences that challenge, connect, and move people to action.

Service & Leadership
Service has always been at the heart of my leadership journey.
I had the honor of serving as District Governor for Rotary District 7680 and, as a Rotarian for over two decades, I’ve been deeply involved in leadership and service initiatives both locally and globally.
From community impact through the Rotary Club of Mecklenburg County-South to international service in Peru and Tanzania—including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to support PolioPlus—these experiences have shaped how I see leadership: as service, connection, and impact in action.
I currently lead training for the Rotary District 7680 Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Program and serve on the board for Monarch's Employee Care Fund and in the past served as Board Chair for Girls on the Run of Union County.

Beyond the Work
Outside of my work, you’ll most often find me exploring the world, enjoying time with family and friends, or out in nature with my Australian Shepherds.
I’ve been fortunate to visit all seven continents, sing with a cover band, and even build a jewelry business that at one time found a home at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.
And yes—twice climbing Mount Kilimanjaro remains one of the most unforgettable adventures of my life... of course, next to marrying my husband of 34 years and raising three sons!
